Intersections: A day of Spirit, Justice, Music, and Art. A Wild Goose Event

Coming out for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people is about deciding to courageously live lives of authenticity.

As the cultural and spiritual landscape all around us continues to shift, a growing group of diverse people have emerged who are:

• Hungering and thirsting for an authentic spirituality.
• Being pulled into deeper solidarity with the last, the least & the left out.
• Creating new expressions of church & community.

Join Tim Kerr and the Beer & Hymns folks for a day-long experience of spirituality, social justice, art & music. This event is about sharing our unique stories & listening to the stories & stirrings that are present in our community.

Bring a friend, a chair and an open heart & mind to Henry Kluthlo Park (204 W. 3rd Street) this Saturday (April 29) between 11 am and 9pm! Kimberly Knight will lead the event in “The Sacred Narrative of Coming Out Stories” starting at noon in the Spirituality Tent.

This Wild Goose event is known as:

Intersections: A day of Spirit, Justice, Music, and Art. A Wild Goose Event

The event organizers have expressed:

“Our hope is that connections will be made,
dreams will be inspired,
minds will be expanded,
spirits will be rearranged &
all will be included.”

Kerr and the very popular Beer & Hymns group will gather for an interactive time of sharing coming out stories and close with a brief service celebrating the sacred worth of LGBTQI people and their allies.

From 1-2pm, there will be a Drum Circle as part of the event! Drummers are invited to gather on the main stage in Klutho Park from 1-2 p.m on Saturday. It’s an open drum circle, which means anyone is welcome to join in!
