So, this is what I’ve been doing along with running The Silver Cow and The Annex. The Mazer Meadery & Cider House coming to King St. It took me and companion about three seconds – maybe two – to decide we wanted to “partner up” with Ed and Beth Stansel on creating a new spot with a new focus in the King Street Beer District – The Mazer!
The Mazer will be serving meads and ciders (along with a smaller but impressive selection of fine wines and craft beer) and food items especially selected to pair well with the available beverages.
The bar itself will most probably open before the federal and state licenses for producing meads are obtained. The meadery/microwinery will be called East Florida Fermentology and will be headed up by Ed Stansel (he’s won bling for his beer!), a local figure well respected for his homebrewing and fermenting skills. Ed’s recipes have been brewed as commercially viable creations by a number of our local microbreweries.
